This cheese board is made from Brazilian purpleheart. When this wood arrives at our shop, it's gray. We then plane it down to a smooth surface, sand it numerous times then set it outside to let it oxidize and get its purple color. Once the color becomes vibrant, we put our finish on quickly. If we wait too long, the purple turns back to a more modest gray. These pieces are truly purple and beautiful.
They measure at 11" x 7" and come mounted on rubber feet with stainless steel screws. We should really call this one the "Purple Passion!" Included is also a stainless steel cheese knife.
